Weekend Pick Em’

This upcoming weekend has some historic matchups. The Army/Navy game is as classic of a game as it gets. There is no better college football game of the year. It doesn’t matter the records for these two teams at seasons end, as long as they beat their rival, it was a successful season. One city. Two teams. The Manchester Derby is the biggest soccer game across the pond. You have two top tier teams in one city that is divided by the colors red and blue. What a lot of people don’t understand over in America is that soccer is all they have in England. They love their soccer teams. It is an amazing thing to witness the support they give their clubs. No fans in the stands at this year’s derby will look and sound a little weird, however. With a full slate of college football and NFL games, this weekend will give everyone some happiness in the year 2020.

5. Navy vs. Army (-7):

The best game of the year is finally upon us. This game is the only game where everyone on the field playing is willing to sacrifice everything, put their life on the line, and die for everyone watching. Everyone has their preferences when it comes to this matchup, whether it is a family member who has served or you yourself have served. For the first time since 1943, the game will be played at West Point, advantage West Point. The Midshipmen sit at 3-6 this season, losing four straight games. Navy is 4-5 against the spread this year. Army rolls into this game 7-2, 5-4 against the spread. One very important thing to look at for this game is that Army is 6-0 at home.

My Pick: Army -7/Over 37.5

4. Manchester United vs. Manchester City:

Another big game this Saturday is the Manchester Derby. Man U leads the all-time series with 76 wins, 54 loses, and 52 draws. In the last five matches, Man U is 3-2 with the both teams scoring a respectable six goals each. In the year 2020, everyone is trying to adjust to these crazy schedules. Early in the season, Man U sits in 6th place with a record of 6-1-3. Man City sits right below them in 7th with a 5-3-2 record. On paper, Man City is the more complete team that will be competing for a top spot by the end of this season.

My Pick: Man City

3. Washington Football Team vs. 49ers (-3):

When you see this game on the schedule, it does not look appealing to anyone. However, you see the Washington Football Team on a mini-run of sorts and are second in the NFC East. Washington is 5-7 on the season but 6-4-2 against the spread. Winning three straight games, they are posed for a playoff run. The 49ers have been going downhill since the injuries to George Kittle and Jimmy Garoppolo. Their record sits at 5-7, and it mirrors their ATS record. This game will be played indoors, due to California’s new covid rules, the game is at Arizona’s stadium.

My Pick: Washington Money Line (+148)

2. Coastal Carolina (-13.5) vs. Troy:

Coastal proved they’re the real deal last week after beating BYU on short notice. Only being two-touchdown favorites seems like a trap game but CC being 8-1-1 against the spread makes me feel good. CC sits at 10-0 this season, the first time in Sun Belt history a team started off the season 10-0. Troy is 5-5 this season with a 4-6 record ATS. My Pick: Coastal Carolina -13.5

1. Genoa vs. Juventus:

Juventus is coming off a 3-0 win in the UEFA Champions League. They are 5-5-0 and sit in 4th place in Serie A. Genoa is 1-3-6 and sits in 19th of 20th place this year. Juventus should win with ease against a team with a -10 goal differential. Juventus are only 6 points behind Milan for first. Dybala is set to start vs. Genoa and looks to get into form this season.

My Pick: Juventus -1.5 (-110)/Over 3 (+110)
