Believe In Boston: ALDS Preview

It seems the word around Boston media is that fans of the Red Sox should be happy with winning the wild card game and shouldn’t expect anything really, in the series against the Rays.  What happened to believing in your team?  They were the best team in the MLB in the first half of the season then Covid-19 hit the team and hit them hard. That is where they started to fall off but they marched on into the playoffs after everyone marked them dead when they got swept by the Yankees and lost two of three to the Orioles. They then went out and swept the Washington Nationals while the Yankees lost two of three to the Rays which gave the Red Sox home field advantage in the wild card round.

After beating a lifeless Yankees team they now go into Tampa who are starting two rookies in the both games at the Trop.  I don’t see why people are sleeping on the fact that the Red Sox only have to split games down in Florida and Nate Eovaldi gets game three home Sunday.  The Red Sox went 8-11 versus the Rays this year but the run differential for the season series was only -2.  The Red Sox have great players who are finding their groove and a manager who knows how to push the right buttons when it comes to managing the bullpen in late October games.

This Red Sox team is fun to watch. I don’t get why Boston media wants the fans to turn their backs on the team.  It’s probably because they have had bad takes on them all year and if they get eliminated they can go, “see I told you so”, and fans that are sheep to Felger and Mazz will spew their crap all over social media.

People that know me know I cannot stand Boston media and those are reasons A, B, and C.  HEY EVERYONE THE RED SOX ARE GOOD AND FUN AND EXCITING TO WATCH! They have likeable players and continue to prove that they can make a run at their fifth World Series Title since 2004.  As Ted Lasso said, “I believe in hope. I believe in ‘Believe.’ ”
