Mets Stirrup The Baseball World

Breaking News: The New York Mets trade for Francisco Lindor and right-hander Carlos Carrasco for a bag of balls and some big league chew. The Mets front office fleassed the Cleveland Baseball Team, giving them shortstops Amed Rosario and Andres Gimenez, mirror league right-hander Josh Wolf, and minor league outfielder Isaiah Greene. Mets team president was on a Zoom call with reporters after the trade and said the team is trying to lock up Lindor, who is 27, which means he will spend the prime time of his career in New York.

Apparently, no one told the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees you can trade for two stud players. Both Sox and Yanks are in desperate need of pitching and fielding help. The only reason they didn’t pull the trigger on the trade is because they either have a signing lined up, or they didn’t feel like the trade moved the needle on their team for this upcoming season. It shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that the Mets are making a splash. New owner, Steven A. Cohen, made it known that the Mets will come back into their winning ways. General manager and rising star in the baseball world, Jared Porter, was tasked by the owner and team president to make big moves and smart moves for the Mets, and he has delivered. I would keep an eye on the Mets in the upcoming weeks. With Trevor Bauer still on the market, I believe they make the push to complete a full rotation of studs. One team that might be a suiter for Bauer is the San Diego Padres, who just landed Yu Darvish and Blake Snell in two powerhouse moves. These two teams are in the win-now market. Their minor league systems, however, scream long term success as well. Spring training is about a month away. Everyone should expect teams to start forming into shape for this upcoming season.
