The Milwaukee Bucks have waited for this moment since 1971 when Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Oscar Robertson led the Bucks to a title in just the franchise’s third year of existence.

This year, it was Giannis Antetokounmpo and his iconic 50-point performance in Game 6 of the 2021 NBA Finals on Tuesday that led the franchise to its second NBA title. Antetokounmpo’s night ended with him taking home the NBA Finals MVP after posting 50 points, 14 rebounds, and five blocks for the Bucks.

In the biggest game of his career, Antetokounmpo became the seventh player in NBA Finals history to score 50 points in a game, according to ESPN. He also joined Shaquille O’Neal as the second player in NBA history with three 40-point and 10-rebound games in a single NBA Finals.

Khris Middleton had 17 points for the Milwaukee Bucks, and Bobby Portis added 16 points off the bench.

For the Suns, it was a heartbreaking exit after a tremendous postseason run led by Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton.

Paul had 26 points and five assists in the loss for the Suns. After back-to-back 40-plus point games, Devin Booker posted just 19 points on 8-for-22 shooting, including 0-for-7 from three-point range.

The 2020-2021 NBA season has now come to an incredible close with one of the greatest NBA Finals ever.
