NBA Stars Couldn’t Hold Their Seats After Damian Lillard ’s Historic Playoff Performance

Damian Lillard Playoffs

Portland Trailblazer Damian Lillard put on a career-high 55-point playoff performance in Game 5 on Tuesday night, becoming the first player in NBA history with 50 points, 10 assists, and 10 3-pointers in a game, regular season or playoffs.

Lillard’s magnificent performance would set a new playoff record as he knocked down 12 3-pointers, topping that of Golden State Warrior Klay Thompson, who previously held the playoff record with 11 3-pointers in Game 6 of the 2016 Western Conference Finals.

Dame time was in full effect as two of Lillard’s 12 triples came in true clutch fashion as both drove the red, black, and white into double OT.

In addition to his record-setting numbers, the Trailblazers star would be 17 of 24 from the field, 9 of 10 from the free point line, with 6 rebounds and 3 blocks.

However, Lillard’s performance wasn’t enough as the Denver Nuggets ultimately pulled out the home court win 147-140 for the 3-2 series lead.

Win or no win, Dame Time had NBA stars in utter amazement. Nuggets Nikola Jokic, who had an impressive night of his own with 38 points and a near triple-double said after the game, “It was a pleasure to be on the court to witness that.”

His NBA co-stars seemed to share the same sentiments releasing Tweets left and right of respect to what they had witnessed.
