Rams Hold On To Beat Cardinals

With a 30-23 victory, Rams fans finally have the redemption they’ve waited for since the
merciless thrashing handed to them by the Cardinals earlier in the season. The Rams are once
again in contention for an NFC West title, despite being short-handed tonight. With Jalen
Ramsey and Tyler Higbee on the COVID list, and an entire novel of players out on injury, the
Rams produced a most improbable victory, dominating the Cardinals, most of the night, despite
the close score.

Up until half-time, this was anyone’s game. A 52-yard Hail-Mary pass by Stafford to Van
Jefferson gave the Rams the lead they needed to get this win in motion. Multiple interceptions
by Kyler Murray didn’t’ help the Cardinals’ cause either.

Those two pics aside, Kyler Murray had a gutsy performance with a combined total of 444
passing and rushing yards, his career record. With 4th quarter heroics, the Cardinals came into
touchdown scoring distance with less than a minute left, but the forceful Rams defense held them
to a field goal. The Cardinals threw everything in their playbook at the Rams including an onside
kick they managed to recover, but it wasn’t enough to secure the victory.

This game proved a bonanza of points for fantasy football leagues all over the country. Fantasy
football playoff spots were won and lost on tonight’s games, including handing my Dad 1 st place and a bye in his league.

The game featured outstanding fantasy performances on the Rams by Stafford, Kupp, Jefferson,
and Beckham. The Cardinals’ Conner had a monster game on the ground and through the air.
Even the ageless A.J. Green posted a 100 yard+ game.

This was an entertaining game of two very good teams, and the better team prevailed. The Rams
have six days till they take the field at home for a rematch against the 5-8 Seattle Seahawks.
