The (4-1) Browns are headed to Pittsburgh to take on their biggest rival, the (4-0) Pittsburgh Steelers. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has dominated the Browns in his career with a record of 23-2-1 against the Cleveland Browns. The 2020 Cleveland Browns however, may be the best Browns team Ben Roethlisberger has ever faced. This game between two bitter rivals should be a good one. With the Pittsburgh Steelers being one of the best defensive teams in the NFL and Nick Chubb being out with injury. Cleveland is going to have to find a way to get Odell Beckham Jr. the ball and let him make explosive plays with his feet.
Odell Beckham Jr.’s biggest game this season came week four against the Dallas Cowboys. In the Brown’s 49-38 victory over the Cowboys, head coach Kevin Stefanski found a way to get Odell Beckham Jr. to be a focus in the offensive game plan. OBJ caught five passes for 81 yards and two touchdowns. To get OBJ more involved in the offense, the Browns used OBJ in the running game. Beckham rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. Including the game clinching play when OBJ scored a touchdown on a fifty-yard rush. Odell Beckham Jr. finished the game with 154 yards in total offense and three touchdowns.
Through five games the Cleveland Browns lead the NFL in both rushing attempts and rushing yards. The Browns have rushed for 942 yards on 172 rushing attempts. With the Browns offense committing to the run and having success. The Browns are going to continue to come out and run the ball down their opponents throat. Which means, Odell Beckham Jr. is not going to be getting the ball often. Yet, when the Browns find a way to get OBJ the ball good things are happening.
Big time players make big time plays. No regular season game is bigger for the Browns, than going against their biggest rival the Pittsburgh Steelers. Which means the Cleveland Browns are going to need their star offensive player Odell Beckham Jr. to make big plays on offense. Though, how much and how the Browns get the ball to OBJ is going to be up to Kevin Stefanski. With the Brown’s running game having so much success this year. Stefanski is going to stick with a heavy run game plan. Do not expect Odell Beckham Jr. to put huge stats this Sunday. However, this game will be close and look for Kevin Stefanski and the Browns to draw up a big play for OBJ in the fourth quarter.
