Titans Savor Victory at SOFI Stadium

The four-game winning streak has come to an end in Los Angeles. It was an ugly day for Rams fans at SOFI Stadium, who had grown accustomed to the team’s high-scoring wins during the previous four gratifying weeks. Playing without league-leading rusher, Derrick Henry proved to be no handicap for the Titans’ easy win. The game wasn’t nearly as close as the score suggests.

Going into the second quarter the Rams held onto a 3-0 lead, thanks to Matt Gay. In what started off as anyone’s game quickly transformed into Tennessee taking the Rams by the Horns and dominating the field. The 28-16 score does not accurately reflect how badly the Titans dominated the Rams. That was apparent to Rams fans who were on the freeway heading home by the time the clock ran out in the fourth quarter, leaving behind only Titans fans who remained to savor the Rams defeat on their own home turf. Tennessee hit their stride in the second quarter. In the short span of an electric ten minutes the Titans put 21 points on the board. One bright spot for the Rams was kicker Matt Gay who provided ten of the sixteen Rams points. Gay nailed a 49, 22 and a 54-yard field goal last night, making him the leading scorer of the game.

By the time Sony Michael caught a three-yard pass from Stafford for the first Rams’ touchdown of the game, bringing their final score up to 16 from 9,  there were 24 seconds left in the fourth quarter and fans were already home for the night.

This Ram performance hardly resembled the Greatest Show on Turf that defeated the Titans in Super Bowl XXXIV. The Rams have only five days to get back on track to meet The 49ers away on Sunday, with hopefully the Rams’ debut of  Von Miller.
