LA Kings Coming Back With Vengeance Looking Continue 6-Game Win Streak

All those that doubted the LA Kings are eating their words right now. After six straight wins in a row, the West Coast isn’t asking but taking a seat at the table. It’s looking as though they’ll add another win against the Ottawa Senators tomorrow night.

For a team that started out with a bleak outlook upon them, they sure are making headlines, podcasts, and news. Starting out the season, the usual murmurs arose on the lack of a powerhouse team from the west coast. With the San Jose Sharks Covid-19 issues and the Anaheim Ducks general manager Bob Murray resigning and entering an alcohol abuse program, many thought the Kings would follow in scandal. After all, hockey has had its fair share this past month.

When they won the opening game, it provided a false rush at first, since shortly thereafter, it was followed by six straight losses.

The men of LA came back with a vengeance though not letting it weigh them down, beating the Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, St.Louis Blues, and the New Jersey Devils before heading up north.

The team set their wrath upon Canada again. The Kings were buzzing with a 5-1 victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs and a 3-2 win over the Montreal Canadiens. Making this their sixth straight win in a row.

Just like their shiny win streak, Anze Kopitar is taking up the limelight. Leading the way for his teammates throughout the first half of the season, as a killer two-way player with seven goals and eight assists. His offensive prowess has been critical to the team and building up the younger roster.

Sharing that spotlight though is Alex Iafallo. Kopitar and Iafallo seem to be a match made in ice hockey heaven. Iafallo with six goals and seven assists thus far is contributing well during his fifth season with the team. We can’t forget Drew Doughty either though (now on injured reserve), allowing Kale Clague to earn his spot as a defensemen. Clague has scored in each of the three games he’s played, all primary assists, and made a name for himself in the team’s top power play unit.

The team looks to continue the Canadien takedown tomorrow at 4pm against the Ottawa Senators.
